Fruity Wild Rice Side Dish

    1 cup uncooked wild rice
    1 1/4 cups apple cider
    1 1/4 cups water
    1/2 cup butter or margarine
    1/2 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
    1/2 cup diced dried fruit bits
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    cinnamon

Rinse and drain wild rice, combine with cider and water in large kettle. heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover, simmer 50-60 minutes (stir gently during last 15 min). Remove from heat. In skillet, melt butter, add walnuts and fruit, cook gently 5 min. Blend into wild rice. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
