Wild Rice Classic

    1/4 lb butter
    1 cup uncooked wild rice
    1/4 cup slivered almonds
    1/2 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
    2 tbsp chives or green onions
    3 cups chicken broth

Place ingredients, except broth, in heavy pan. Cook, stirring constantly, until rice yellows. Place in a casserole; add broth. Cover tightly; bake at 325°F for 1 hour.
